What Version 2.00 Changed

Version 2.00 launched April 9, 2026 alongside Season 5 and Jam Kuradoberi. Wild Assault was removed. Counter Blitz became the universal counter-hit option consuming Psych Burst gauge. Ranked rewards, UI skins, and battle balance received the largest update since launch.

Every character received adjustments — some effective reworks. Purple RC loops, throw RC, and backdash RC were removed or altered. Damage scaling and Positive Bonus rules shifted across the cast.

Counter Blitz in Practice

On counter hit, enter slowdown and spend Burst gauge to Blitz — a follow-up strike that replaces many old Wild Assault routes. Lab Blitz per character; some gain new corner carry, others lose previous pressure extensions.

Psych Burst still serves defensive burst and other systems — budget gauge between defense and Blitz offense.

Returning Player Checklist

Re-learn CH confirms for your main. Re-test corner wall break routes. Read patch notes for direct move changes. Reset ranked expectations — new floor progression and Imperius rewards apply.
